Painting With Words
Once a year I teach a class on storytelling for
scout leaders. Storytelling is an art. Instead of painting
with colors we are
painting with words.
Intimacy

There is something extremely exciting about a little
potluck breakfast down on the shore, isn't there? When
is the last time you did that? Well, that's been too ling.
we need to get away. Just get a little time by the sea.
The sea has a language all its own, doesn't it? It is
almost as though the fingers of God are rolling in those
great, great waves. And in some mysterious tie
between the moon and the tide, and in the swamping
awesomeness of that walk on the beach, you somehow
come back together with God. Somehow there's a
place where the child of God's heart is just washed,
made fresh. we spend too long in the sidewalk jungles
of our habitat. Thank God He has preserved some
places for us to be near Him.
